  • Healed by His Word: My Journey from Hopelessness to Healing

    From my childhood, I am a very sensitive person who doesn’t know how to take pressure or trouble & used to enter into depression and wanted to quit everything. Though I was a born Christian, I do not know anything about Jesus & His word nor know how to experience God in the trouble I am in. When I am in this condition with hopelessness, I was invited to River Life Worship Centre.

    When I came to church, there was something that attracted me which I didn’t know at that time as the presence of God. As I kept coming to the church, God used to speak to me personally through the words of the pastor, when he was preaching the words of Jesus Christ from the Bible. Slowly, I came out of my depression & was filled with courage & strength.

    The words from the Bible which our Pastor preached began to capture my heart and as I meditated God’s word from Isaiah 53, I received my healing.

    ISAIAH 53:5,

    But He was wounded for our transgressions,

    He was bruised for our iniquities;

    The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,

    And by His stripes, we are healed.

    My experience with the Word of God –

    Later I got connected to the Cell groups, in which the words of Jesus were taught every day in the morning. When I started working with the word of God given in the Cell group from the Book of Proverbs in the Bible, I was able to do my education well and was able to experience Jesus for the first time in my life. My faith began to grow slowly and I was made strong in the inside of me.

    Christ preached every Sunday in the church, made me so strong that I was able to stand when I came to know that I had a deadly sickness in my body. There was no fear, negativity, depression nor hopelessness as God has already spoken to me through His Word, the previous Sunday through the message preached by the pastor. As I said earlier, I was very sensitive, the encounter with the word of God & the presence of God in the church made me a different person in the same situations. I thank God for His word that was preached in the church. I was healed many times from my sicknesses in the church during the Sunday & Friday services.

    I thank Jesus Christ for saving me & getting me connected to River Life Worship Centre and giving me life through His word. I am so blessed.

  • How I met my God

    I am happy to share my own story of how I met God in River Life Worship Center.I hope you will be blessed by it.

    Lord Jesus made a way for me

    In 2007 I came to India to pursue higher education in Andra Pradesh.I was looking for a english fellowship & a professor gave address of River Life Worship Center, behind Tagore Rice Mill in Vijayawada. When he handed the address to me, I wanted to visit the church by any means.

    I vividly remember, the praise & worship in the church was extremely powerful and I decided to never miss a Sunday. But College & university’s highest authorities challenged my decision. They revoked my travel permits & I was not allowed to attend church service. My leader started giving sunday word over phone and asked me to submit my prayer request over a prayer card.

    A week later, on a Wednesday afternoon when vice chancellor of university visited our college, I sought permission to meet him to seek special permission to travel to vijayawada to attend sunday service. The moment he granted the permission and I left his chamber, was the exact time I remember my leader called me to inform that as Pastor laid his hands over the prayer card, he said it’s broken & done.

    During those weeks, God was speaking about the faith of Jarius who believed that God’s word is spirit & it could travel to heal his servant.

    I could experience that grace of God in my own situation. From that day all fetters & snares broke that very hour of prayer of Pastor and my little faith began to grow in the Word of God.

    I was slowly getting introduced to basics of Word of God and how we have to apply word of God in our daily life. The Word was very rich & I began sharing it with my hostel mates, my family members and friends.

    GOD called me by a new name and new purpose:

    I was privileged to have got the opportunity to travel to Holy Land with our Pastor & church in 2011. It was my first visit to Holy Land and God blessed me and my sister with new name. My name in the Lord has given purpose of my life. Whenever I am surrounded by darkness, my name reminds me of God’s light that will shine to bring me out of it.

    My family was in darkness and had several issues. Lord Jesus Christ mercifully began to deal with every issue through counsel, word of knowledge and prophetic revelations from our Pastor.

    Proverbs 10:22

    The blessing of Lord makes one rich, He adds no sorrow with it.

    Lord Jesus made me rich when He met with every member of my household.

    In 2014 I received a call from my leader and she asked me that Pastor wondered why she couldn’t trust God to send her brother to vijayawada. That word of Knowledge from her gave strength to my soul to take a decision for his life.

    Upon the counsel, we cancelled his transfer from Mauritius to Bangalore to vijayawada. It was extremely difficult to put him there but it taught us to wait upon God and when time was ripe, Lord Jesus touched his life & saved his life in marvellous ways.

    He got baptised in the Holy Land trip in 2016 and God fulfilled His word given to me “The blessing of Lord makes one rich, He adds no sorrow with it”

    My brother’s life got transformed from that point.

    Lord Jesus extended his love to pull my mother out of depression. She was taught to put her faith in the Word of God and God chiseled out many wrong beliefs and worked in her life. Lord healed her from her sicknesses and she leads a joyful life now.

    My sister also got connected to Word of God and beliefs of Church and was blessed with a wonderful daughter.

    Psalm 84:5-6

    Blessed is the man whose strength is in You,
    Whose heart is set on pilgrimage.

    As church members, my family and me had privilege of setting our hearts on the pilgrimage. In each & every trip to the Holy Land, God blessed my life with new grace. All the teachings in the Holy Land has blessed me immensely.

    As darkness (death and danger) surges in the world, God’s light of prophetic revelations through the Word of God, glows brighter to protect and lead us.

    I count River Life Worship Center as a precious gift from Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The Church has taught me to walk in the path where our Saviour meets us. I met my God in River Life. God moves in River Life to save people from darkest places. I am humbled to be part of River Life Worship Center.

  • Testimony of Hadassah Wangmo

    1. My Life before

    Like any other person i had dreams and aspirations but everything in my life was working against me. I thought living a good christian life by going to the church regularly, being a part of a choir, fasting & praying, reading the bible would make things better but even after doing all these things there was still an emptiness in my life. This emptiness was rather eating me up from the within. And gradually this lead me into being a very bitter & angry person and i was basically a very unhappy soul, felt rejected, depressed and frustrated with life. And this also affected my relationship with my families and friends. There were even days when i thought of ending up my life because I thought that there was no one who loved and cared for me.

    1. Experiencing Father’s love

    In december 2015, my sister brought me to River life Worship centre, Vijawada to attend a Christmas program. I still remember that day when i entered the church premises, the atmosphere was different, it was as if, a burden was being lifted up from my head. And as the worship started something inside me bursted out and i began to cry like a child. During the time of the word, every word spoken by the man of God- Pastor David S Marella was directly meant for me, speaking right into my situation. At the time of the ending worship i felt a warmth in my soul, there was suddenly a feeling of acceptance. I literally felt like a prodigal son returning to his fathers house, i experienced the love of Jesus Christ my saviour and i came to realize that my God had not forgotten me and He remember me that day. I was in tears throughout the service, from the beginning till the end. Since that day onwards my life began to change gradually. After few days, we returned back to our country and continued to receive the Word of God through online services. Then, I found the grace to get connected to the cell group, where we were literally taught how to do the Word of God on daily basis. As i was learning to do the Word of God, I realize that even when my situations remained the same but the affect it had on my life was slowly loosing its grip on me. I realized that all this years i was making the wrong prayers, asking Jesus to change my situations, change this person or that person, while He simply wanted to transform the person in me.

    1. My Born- Again Experience

    In March 2016, me and my family, we got the privilege to join the church for a trip to the Holy Land- Israel. On the Sunday service, just the day before our trip,man of God delivered the Word of God and spoke about disdain, this word quickly got into my soul and just as the man of God was speaking the Word, i was reminded of all the areas of my life where i had disdain the Word of God and I immediately began to cry on my Lord and saviour Jesus for forgiveness. That night, i had a dream where a demon appeared infront of me and just as he was about to torment me, there was a big bang on the door and a Man stood infront of me with a iron rod and He began to hit the demon so hard that it turned into a naked baby and it crawled out. This Man in my dream claimed to be my Father and commanded the demon to never return back to His daughter in a very loud voice. Everything felt so real and it was just more than a dream. To be very precise, i was experiencing this kind of horrible attack of the demons in my dreams for a very long period of time. Everyime i had this kind of dream, it would leave me in a very frightened and scared state of mind. And that was the day when God delivered me from that demon and until this day i never had such kind of attacks in my dreams again. I praise Jesus Christ my savior for such a deliverance and experience in my life. On 11th march 2016, while we were still in Jerusalem-Israel, i got the privilege to meet our Pastor and he prayed for me by laying his hands on my head, this was yet another session of deliverance, where Pastor prophecised that he could see many words that were spoken against me and many other things leaving my body. At that point, i felt very weak and fell on the ground. And that very night, around 3 am while i was still asleep, my bed shook rigorously and i thought there was an earthquake. I tried to wake up my mother and sister but they were fast asleep. As I was about to fall asleep again, i felt something leaping inside my belly and it happened three times.

    1. Life changing experience with the Word of God.

    With all these wonderful experiences,i just wanted to learn the Word of God and experience Jesus more. Then in 2017, i decided to go to Church in vijawada to learn the Word of God. I shared this with my leader- Sheela Akka and she was gracious to accept my request and especially our Pastor, who graciously hosted me and provided spiritual manna daily for almost a period of 3 months. This was yet another life changing experience, where we got intensive teachings and got to understand the word of God with deeper revelations. As our Pastor always says that foundations are very important in ones life, I believe that this 3 months of training has helped me to lay down my foundations-understanding and experiencing the power of instruction, understanding the meaning of Intergrity through practical works, building up of Attitude, understanding about the gates- mouth, ear and eye gates, learning fear of the Lord, forgiveness, understanding about power of goals and big picture and many more. Every word and teaching given by our Pastor were like the seeds sown into my heart, soul and spirit. And I can say without a shadow of doubt that When I returned home after 3 months of training, i was not the same person. My overall perspective towards life had changed and a new standard was set in my life. That everytime i become weary or get succumbed with trouble, i just look back to those standards and experiences and they give me the strength and courage to rise back.

    I thank the Lord my saviour Jesus Christ for such a grace in my life and for River Life Worship Centre. I thank Lord Jesus Christ for the man of God-Pastor David S Marella, who is truly a anointed man of God with utmost dedication, integrity and true heart towards the children of God. I honor and salute you my sipiritual father- Pastor David S Marella.
